Whiskey Lamp
Featuring Jack Daniels

Steampunk
Aesthetic
This project is in honor of my late grandfather, George Betros, who loved Jack Daniels whiskey and “old timey” things. In my mind, I choose the steampunk design because I believe it best fit with the rough and ready persona of Jack Daniels. The sleekness of the glass and the warmth of the Edison bulb form an aesthetically pleasing contrast with the ruggedness of the brass pipe. My favorite part is the water handle which doubles as an on/off switch. To create the lamp design, I only had a picture of a similar lamp which was my inspiration and nothing else, no fancy instructions or tutorial videos to follow along with. I had to reverse engineer this challenge from the photo on the left.
